According to the World Health Organization, cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the leading cause of death worldwide. The risk of these diseases increases with age. Modern studies show that changes in blood microcirculation and microrheology, including the properties of red blood cells (RBC) and platelets, can play an important role in the development and progression of CVD. The purpose of this work is to evaluate the relationship between the microrheological parameters of RBC and the aggregation properties of platelets, measured in vitro, with the parameters of microcirculation, measured in vivo. The establishment of this relationship will make it possible to extend the results of in vitro measurements of blood parameters to in vivo and, thereby, will contribute to the assessment of blood microcirculation by analysis in the laboratory and the development of methods for correcting blood flow disorders in microvessels by correcting microrheological parameters of patients with CVD. The study was supported by the Russian Science Foundation, Grant No. 25-15-00172.
