Аннотация:Biochemistry is an important discipline for every medical specialist. The discipline gives an idea of the structure, functions and metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, etc., which are the main components of the living.
Knowledge of biochemistry is important for studying microbiology, virology, pathological anatomy, clinical pathological anatomy, pathophysiology, clinical pathophysiology, clinical laboratory diagnostics and many other professional disciplines.
The discipline «Biochemistry» is based on knowledge of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology and anatomy.
The purpose is to form the systemic knowledge about the molecular mechanisms of the functioning of biological systems; creation of a theoretical base for further study of biomedical and clinical disciplines.
The objectives are:
• to present the main principles of constructing macromolecules; outline the main metabolic pathways and mechanisms of their regulation;
• master the methods of experimental work in the laboratory;
• to develop organization, responsibility, motivation through the subject.
The educational and methodical study guide «Laboratory Course in Biological Chemistry" is a guide to lectures, seminars and laboratory classes for students.
At the beginning of the study guide «Laboratory Course in Biological Chemistry" the content of the program of the discipline "Biochemistry" is presented.
The study guide contains thematic units, each of which has a brief theoretical material and tasks of different types to be completed in the classroom or overtime. The thematic unit finishes with methodological recommendations for laboratory classes.
While completing tasks and working in a chemical laboratory, each student must have lecture notebooks and use the recommended literature presented in the study guide.
The study guide contains a short glossary (terminological dictionary).
