Аннотация:This work develops a novel two-step method to enhance antibacterial properties of Ti-18Zr-15Nb alloy surfaces. First, a ZnO/BN particle suspension is prepared, then deposited onto polished surfaces via spin-coating. The structure of the obtained materials is characterized by TEM, SEM, XRD, and FTIR, while their antibacterial efficacy is evaluated against E. coli. The study identifies an optimal h-BN concentration in the suspension and an effective ZnO nanoparticle content for a pronounced antibacterial effect. This approach offers a novel, versatile method for functionalizing biomedical Ti-based alloys and allowing for modifying/selecting antibacterial agents.T.O. Teplyakova, A. Opeyemi, T.A. Sukhova, O.P.
