Аннотация:The neotectonic stage of development of the Arctic continental margin of Eurasia began in the late Oligocene. This was an important tectonic boundary with a significant restructuring of the structural plan. Neotectonics within the continental margin is displayed in the form of a significantly dissected relief, highly elevated marine Pleistocene terraces, increased heat flow, seismic activity, neotectonic faults, volcanism, hydrothermal activity, etc. The main driver of neotectonic activity is the process of ocean formation, which has affected the continental margins to a large extent. Neotectonic movements have identified the modern relief of the Eurasian continental margin and the distribution of various polar landscapes.
