Аннотация: The complexation of ferrocenium salts (with various anions) with an oligonucleotide (CCACGAGCTCCCACATGGT, OL) wasstudied using a combination of electrochemical (CVA) and spectral (UV-vis and CD spectroscopy) methods. It has been shown thatvarying the nature of the counteranion has virtually no effect on the binding constant to ferrocenium. However, the counterion canalter the secondary structure of the oligonucleotide, which may open a way to tune the biological activity of the ferrocenium cation.
