Аннотация:The study examines the biography, philosophy,and scientific legacy of Jan Baptist Van Helmont(1579–1644), an outstanding 17th-century scholarfrom Belgium. Van Helmont was one of the mostradical reformers of natural philosophy in his time,combining medicine and alchemical philosophy withprofound Christian faith. The fusion of Christianmysticism and experimental natural science in hisworks, unusual for his era, enabled him to makesignificant contributions to science, later impactingresearchers of the Modern Age.
