Аннотация:Nine small mammal faunas from the Middle and Late Pleistocene paleosols of Eastern Europe were analysed. Most of the faunas indicated the dry steppe-like environments. Only latest fauna found in the interstadial paleosol (MIS 3) included arctic animals together with the steppe ones
