- Аннотация: A simple description of the thermodynamics of ice and snow is implemented in a three-dimensional numerical model of an inland water body. Numerical experiments aimed at studying the periods of freeze-up and ice break-up on the Rybinsk Reservoir are conducted. The results of the modelling were compared with both field measurement data and satellite images obtained using remote sensing of the Earth. It is confirmed that the model correctly describes the ice regime of the water object under study.
