Аннотация:
High index dielectric particles proved superior in performing many exotics photonics effects and has become a subject to an extensive studies towards functional devices. Enhancing and controlling light scattering is a strongly sought after characteristic of antennas as an essential component of various technologies such as bio-sensing. We study an effect where particle mainly scatterers the incident power to the side-directions rather than to the forwards or backward. This type of scattering on symmetric scatterer requires at least the contribution of two orders of multipoles to enable simultaneous forward and back-scattering suppression, or the so-called transverse scattering. We explore helicity enhancement in the nearfield when illuminating the nanocube by an optimally-chiral beam that generates parallel induced electric and magnetic dipole and quadrupoles moments that satisfy the transverse Kerker condition. These moments generate an optimally-chiral scattered field preserving the handedness of the incident field. © 2020 Author(s).
