Аннотация:A generalized method for calculating of the correlation time (CT)based on spectral density analysis is proposed for the renewal point process.This process is characterized by the probability distribution of distances betweenneighboring points. A distribution with a locally thickened tail is employed tomodel the wide range of such processes, including processes similar to the wellknown telegraph signal and the Poisson sequence of rectangular pulses. Thepredicted CTs are in good agreement with the results of numerical simulationsfor various renewal processes. A non-monotonic dependence of the CT on theperiodicity parameter is obtained.
