Аннотация:Many studies have been devoted to the use of ultraviolet irradiation in the practice of advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) for the treatment of wastewater of various origins. In recent years, the possibilities of using AOPs based on sulfate radicals, the main source of which is peroxydisulfuric acid, have been actively considered. In this work, the effect of peroxydisulfuric acid additives on the process of photodegradation of fuchsin, bromocresol green, and methyl red has been studied. It has been proven that the combination of UV radiation and H2S2O8 has a synergistic effect and makes it possible to significantly increase the efficiency and rate of oxidation of dyes in comparison with photoirradiation or chemical treatment alone. The maximum oxidation efficiency found for bromocresol green, fuchsin, and methyl red is 99.9, 93, and 76%, respectively.
