Аннотация:Recent molecular studies have revealed a distinct lineage of diplostomid digeneansassociated with scolopacid birds. The present study clarifies the composition and structureof this lineage by assessing the phylogenetic position of Scolopacitrema cubrenseSudarikov and Rykovsky, 1958. Adult specimens of this parasite were collected from theintestine of Scolopax rusticola Linnaeus, obtained in Moscow City, Russia. Digeneanswere examined using light microscopy, and characterised on the base of partialsequences of 28S rRNA gene. This study enabled us to reveal the presence of poorlydeveloped pseudosuckers in S. cubrense. According to the results of phylogeneticanalysis, S. cubrense was nested within Scolopacidae-associated lineage of diplostomidsas a sister taxon to the genus Pseudapatemon Dubois.
