Аннотация:This work studied stents eluting paclitaxel (PTX) with a three-layer polymer coating. A concentration of PLGA (poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)) with a 15% concentration of PEG (polyethylene glycol) in the mixture was used to prepare a multiple drug carrier and was manufactured on the surface of 316L stainless steel stents using an ultrasonic spray coating method. Paclitaxel was investigated in doses of (~255 µg) for the single-layer coated PTX (30 wt.%) and (~275 µg) for the multilayer PTX, coated with PTX accordingly. The surface morphology before and after the exploitation of the multilayer stent was examined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The release kinetics of paclitaxel were studied using a comparative release method of single-layer PTX with three-layer polymer PTX. Biocompatibility was also investigated with hemolysis ratio and dynamic clotting time measurements with platelet adhesion.
