Аннотация:Ti-Al-N-based composite material was obtained by the self-propagating high-temperature synthesis in the wave combustion mode under nitrogen atmosphere from titanium and aluminum powders. It was shown that in the sample, the MAX-phase Ti2AlN, TiNx и AlN nitrides and TixAly intermetallic compounds were formed. The morphological distribution of constituent phases was analyzed in detail. Based on the analysis results, the formation mechanism for the composite phase composition under the conditions of the combustion synthesis was discussed.
