Аннотация:This paper is devoted to a descriptive account of the geographic spread of the Tundra Nenets language, with a focus on its dialectal diversification. How did it happen that Tundra Nenets occupy its current territories from the Yenisei river in the east to the White sea in the west? How uniform or different are its dialects? To what extent can the dialectal diversification be ascribed to external influences, i.e. contacts with other languages, or to internal drive to diversification?
