- Аннотация: The present article argues for addressing the disadvantage posed by writing and publishing inEnglish for scholarly journals in the Anglophone world for non-Anglophone authors. Suchbarriers include the status of English as the lingua franca for academic publishing and journalpolicies that disadvantage Global South authors. Recommendations are advanced for overcomingthese barriers, including using artificial intelligence to facilitate translation, publishing articles inmultiple languages, providing language support for authors, encouraging citations to GlobalSouth authors and journals, and encouraging collaborations between Global North and GlobalSouth authors.
