Аннотация:Doping-induced structural changes and spectroscopic parameters of Czochralski-grown RE3+-activated strontium molybdate SrMoO4 (SMO:RE; RE3+ = Pr, Nd,Eu, Yb) single crystals as well as specifc local behavior of RE3+ ions dependingon the type, concentration (0.2–3.0 wt. %) and the method of introducing thedopant (RENbO4 with RE = Pr, Nd, Eu, Yb or Yb2O3) are described in this paper.X-ray single-crystal difraction analysis of macro- (laboratory difractometer) andmicroparts (synchrotron) of SMO:RE crystals showed a diference between theinitial and actual compositions and refned compositions of macro- and microparts due to growth, physical–chemical and methodological reasons. A complexcharacterization of defect formation including all types of point defects (vacancies, interstitials, substitutional atoms, etc.) and charge compensation mechanismsin SMO:RE crystals depending on the RE composition and concentration is performed. Formal charges, coordination numbers and coordination polyhedra ofRE, Mo, Nb in SMO:RE are found using X-ray absorption spectroscopy (EXAFS/XANES) and electron paramagnetic resonance. The structural and structuredependent spectroscopic and laser characteristics of polycrystalline and singlecrystal SMO:RE, obtained by diferent methods, with diferent type (RE = La – Lu)and concentrations of RE3+ ions are summarized and analyzed based on our ownand literary data.
