Аннотация:The influence of polymer molecular weight and presence of hydrophilic PEG block on PNIPAM chains collapse in aqueous solution was studied with spin probe EPR spectroscopy using TEMPO as a spin probe. It was shown that PNIPAM with lower LCST posessess broader temperature interval of collapse compared with high MW polymer. Change of polymer inhomogeneities dynamics was also observed: for low MW PNIPAM probe exchange between polymer inhomogeneities and bulk solution is possible.PNIPAM-b-PEG copolymer forms core-shell particles during collapse process. These particles lose aggregative stability and separate into new polymer phase at T > 60 °C.
