Аннотация:The probability of photino-pair emission by an electron moving in an external electromagnetic field (e→eγ~γ~) is calculated within the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model. This process is analyzed in two different cases: the production of massless photinos is studied first, and the effect of a finite photino mass is taken into account after that. The results of the calculations are applied to the theory of stellar evolution. In particular, the photino emissivity of a neutron star due to the above reaction is calculated. A comparison of the rate of star cooling induced by photino emission with the rates associated with other competing mechanisms of energy losses makes it possible to set a new constraint on the selectron mass: Me~R=Me~L⩾96.3 GeV.
