Аннотация:The aim of the work is to assess the impact of a long–term change in aerosol content on the planetary boundary layer for the urban territory of Moscow using Large Eddy Simulation modeling. The work uses the LES model of the atmospheric boundary layer, based on a single hydrodynamic code combining both LES and DNS and RANS approaches for simulation of geophysical turbulent flows at high spatial and temporal resolution developed in the Research Computing Center of Moscow State University and INM RAS. The RRTM radiation algorithm was included in this model. AOD were set from the 4D CAMS aerosol reanalysis for 11 types of aerosols. AOD at 550 nm was normalized according to AERONET data for the Moscow State University Meteorological Observatory and incorporated as input parameters into the LES model. We focused on the two time periods - 2000-2007 and 2017-2024. The first period is marked by high AOD values across the entire Moscow region, in the second period mentioned a significant decrease in AOD. To assess the effect of aerosols on PBL, the profiles of temperature and sensible heat flux were compared when different AOD were included in the model.
