- Аннотация: Abstract. Basic life orientations in social area describe the general orientation of the personality. They are associated with the peculiarities of the mentality and education system. An empirical study of the relationship of basic life orientations with individual features of the cognitive style was carried out using the example of a Chinese sample. N = 71, all subjects were university students of different specialties and different academic weights (from senior students to doctoral students). The data obtained demonstrate the commonality of basic life orientations among respondents, which is explained by the specifics of the sample. The results support the cultural specificity of basic life orientations.
