Аннотация:This study investigates the impact of seiche oscillations on thermal and bi-ochemical regimes of inland reservoirs using a three-dimensional model of thermohydrodynamics and biogeochemistry. The Rybinsk Reservoir, a large inland water body with complex morphology, is used as an object of study. Data from the ERA5 reanalysis and field measurements data were used. The results of numerical experiments demonstrate that explicitly simulating seiche oscillations improves the accuracy of calculations related to temper-ature distribution, dissolved gas concentrations, and nutrient transport within the reservoir. Thus, models of low spatial detail (one-dimensional) require implicit consideration of seiches in the form of parameterizations.
