Аннотация:The new Cretaceous genus TurgaphagitesLyubarsky et Perkovsky gen. nov.with type species Cryptophagites clavatusPonomarenko, 1990 is described from the Turga Formation, Transbaikalia. The new genus is similar to the extant genera MicrambeThomson, 1863 and MnioticusCoombs & Woodroffe, 1962, but differs from them in its short metasternum. It is distinguished from other Cretaceous Cryptophaginae genera by the terminal tarsomere of hind leg being shorter, 0.7 times of the length the other tarsomeres combined, and metatoraxshort, its length 0.4 times its width. Supposed saprophagy of Turgaphagites is discussed
