Аннотация:For monitoring industrial impact areas we need new approaches meeting following requirements: considerable territory cover with means of operative observation, possibility to use such means in remote regions, minimizing field works and their costs. Remote sensing meets all these requirements and could be suggested as the most helpful methodical approach in the North regions. Mainly, field methods and remote sensing methods are applied separately. The presented research applying both methods together shows the correlation between vegetation spectral characteristics and copper and nickel content in soil. This correlation could be used for computer interpretation of digital multispectral scanner images and their classification according to the content of pollutants.
