Аннотация:Abstract.This article includes the results of the analysis of academic publications, video materials, audio recordings and other documents of the late 20th and first quarter of the 21st centuries related tothe performing and research activities of Shigemi Yamanouchi, aimed at studying and popularizing Russian song culture. Studying the repertoire of the creator of the Russian song theater in Tokyo and its stylistic range, the author highlights pieces dating back to the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries,presented by S. Yamanouchi at international Russian song festivals in 2003–2012; focuses on the Bulat Okudzhava’s songs presentation; touches on the topic of cross-cultural research of Russian song classics, its translation into foreign languages and its implementation for linguodidactic purposes;turns to academic essays devoted to the study of the mutual influence of Russian and Japanese culture.The materials studied may be useful to culture researchers, translators, graduate students and students of Arts and Humanities.
