Аннотация:A review of new methods for studying close binary systems (CBSs) is presented. Methods for determining the masses of relativistic objects (X-ray pulsars, black holes, radio pulsars) in binary systems are described. The possibility of spectroscopic estimation of the parameters of classical CBSs from relativistic effects is considered. The parameters of extrasolar planets obtained from the analysis of eclipses are analyzed. Polarization studies of CBSs are presented. Doppler tomography of CBSs is described. The effect of radiation refraction in stellar atmospheres on the light curves of eclipsing binary systems is considered. The diffraction light curves observed during stellar occultations of the Moon are analyzed. The search for exotic forms of matter from the analysis of light curves under gravitational microlensing is discussed.
