Аннотация:In this paper, we present the results of a numerical study of the radiative gas dynamics of thelarge-scale Orion spacecraft for the conditions of orbital entry into the dense layers of the Earth’satmosphere. The calculations were performed for six trajectory points, starting from the conditions offlight in highly rarefied layers of the atmosphere at an altitude of 83 km at a velocity of 7.7 km/s and completing the flight at an altitude of 42.8 km at a velocity of 3 km/s. The structure of the flow field was studied and the densities of convective and radiative heat fluxes were calculated.
