Аннотация:The article addresses the issue of a phonetic course design in the context of individual educational trajectories. Any course in these circumstances should have 17 academic hours of in-class work and 91 academic hours of self-study. We present a course entitled “Voice Coaching”. The course consists of 8 modules fully blended and run on the learning management system Canvas. The main aim of the course covers the intonation contours repertoire automatization with an overall phonetic performance improvement. Each module has been methodologically tailored to follow certain stages, which can be generally described as: 1) introduction; 2) practice; 3) benchmarking; 4) production. The rationale behind such a structure is quite traditional, but uniqueness is in the management of students’ autonomous learning. The course supplies quite separate content, workload, learning pace and even material choice everywhere in class, at home and for the assessment. It gives freedom for the course teachers as they can create their own lessons as well as their own home assignments and it frees students in the way they learn the course material, e.g. they are allowed to choose some optional tasks. The course has been run for two years and has proved to be quite a success both for the students, judging by their responses and results, and for the teachers.
