Аннотация:An isothermal steady rarefied gas flow in a long channel (tube) of elliptical or rectangular
cross-section under the action of a given pressure gradient (Poiseuille flow) is studied on the basis of
the Bhatnagar–Gross–Krook model. The solution is obtained using a conservative higher-order method.
The velocity field in a channel cross-section is investigated as a function of the rarefaction degree and
the cross-section geometry parameters. The main calculated function is the gas flow rate through the
tube. The solutions obtained are compared with the available result
