Аннотация:The chapter 122 presents information on the present day understanding of hydrological conditions of the Baltic Sea. Special attention is paid to describing of atmospheric and hydro-climatic conditions, hydrology, and water balance for the Sea. Water quality, including dynamics of the oxygen regime and its dependence on the river runoff is described. Finally, aspects of the geographical location, physiography, and morphological characteristics of the Baltic Sea Basin is discussed.
