Аннотация:Abstract. Based on the results of a survey of first and fourth year studentsof the Department of Regional Studies of the Faculty of Foreign Languagesand Regional Studies of Lomonosov Moscow State University ananalysis of the motives of learning the English language and their transformationin the learning process was conducted. The result of the studyis to identify the main areas of motivation that contribute to the successfuldevelopment of the training program and the formation of professional andcultural competences.Keywords: motive of learning, learning English, student survey, motivationin education.
