Аннотация:Educational literature in the face of countervailing trends of sociocultural development (globalization and nationalization) must organize students for knowledge creation about their native-land and responsibility for it saving. The article reveals semantic and stylistic representation of the concept of “Motherland” in textbooks, the way textbooks present the image of a man as a defender of the motherland. To identify and analyze the meaning and content of the concept “Motherland” in some modern textbooks, to identify and give interpretation to the image of a man as a defender of the motherland as it presented in these textbooks. In terms of methodology, the research was organized in: linguistic philosophy, cultural linguistics, cognitive linguistics, linguodidactics, pedagogical semiology.
