Аннотация:During experimental investigations of methane recovery from gas hydrate bearing silica sand reservoir by flue gas injection. A simulated flue gas from coal-fired power plants composed of 14,6 mol% CO2 and
85,4 mol% N2. The experiments were conducted at typical gas hydrate reservoir conditions. The
experimental results on porous methane hydrate decomposition kinetics show that flue gas injection into
hydrate bearing reservoir causes rapid but damped pore hydrate dissociation. The shifting of methane
hydrate stability zone by the flue gas injection increase the methane concentration in vapour phase to
around 50 mol%. So, the flue gas injection method has considerable potentials to improve the economic
viability and feasibility of methane recovery from gas hydrate reservoirs.
