- Аннотация: A generalized model of impedance involving the normal field containing a vertical magnetic component is discussed. In this case, the magnetotelluric tensor of impedance consists of six components connecting the horizontal components of the electric field with the total magnetic field, and the magnetic variation tensor of Wiese-Parkinson is not determined. The determination of the generalized impedance tensor and its application in magnetotelluric soundings inversion are discussed.
