Аннотация:The aim of the work is to study the sedimentologicaland geochemical features of the construction of black interlayers in the Cenomanian–Turonian boundary sediments of the Belogorsk Formation in the Aksu-Dere section, the southwestern Crimea. The studied section is located near the bottom of the cape, which separates a gully, with previous road from Bakhchisarai to Biasala village (at present, Verkhorech’e village),from east. This section has been studied very well and described in many works.Biostratigraphy of the section was repeatedly studied by many scientists.Many publications are devoted to this subject-matter;
however, sedimentology has not been studied from the mid-1990s. Therefore, the aim of this work was to describe the sedimentology of this section interval in detail. This section is localized within the second ridgeof the Crimean Mountains in the Bakhchisarai district,
which is part of the Alpine belt.
Based on the Aksu-Dere section, we briefly characterized the stratigraphy, sedimentology, and geochemistry of the boundary Cenomanian–Turonian sediments in the southwestern Crimea. The rocks below a black interlayer are represented by clay-rich limestone(wackstone), bedded and non-bedded arenaceous–clayey limestone (wackstone), and arenaceouslimestone highly enriched in clay (wackstone). The Corg abundance varies between <0.01 and 1.34%. A black
interlayer is composed of massive clay-rich limestone (wackstone), bedded limestone highly enriched in clay massive arenaceous limestone highly enriched in clay(wackstone). The content of Corg in a black interlayer varies from <0.1 to 7.08%. The rocks above this interlayer are represented by low-clay limestone (wackstone)with Corg varying from <0.1 to 0.62%. Kerogen of type II has been determined for the bottom zone of a black interlayer, and a highly dispersed organic matter is typical of the top zone of this interlayer. The Aksu-Dere section was formed in the deepest zones of fault structures with depressions and a quiet hydrodynamics.
