Разработка инновационного способа получения пероксида водорода электрохимическим методом. Определение оптимальных параметров технологического режима электролиза раствора серной кислоты, выбор конструкционных материалов для изготовления электролизеров, анодов и катодов, способов разделения анодного и катодного пространств, определение технико-экономических показателей для оценки инвестиционной привлекательности разработанного способа получения перекиси водорода
Research within the framework of the project includes studying the mechanism of the reaction of peroxodisulfuric acid synthesis on various anode materials. Various nature of anode materials (platinum, platinized titanium and niobium, lead dioxide of α- and β-modifications, DSA, BDD) is applied to establish the influence of the structure and nature of the anode on the reaction mechanism of the peroxosulfate anion formation. The work will study the effect of different additives in the electrolyte solution introducing to increase the current efficiency of peroxodisulfuric acid, on the mechanism of the formation of the peroxosulfate anion and its current efficiency at various anodes, which will make it possible to elucidate the principle of action of the additives and establish the optimal concentration and nature of the additive. During the study new anode materials with a certain defined surface structure will be created for use them in the processes of electrolysis of peroxodisulfuric acid. Studies will be conducted to obtain coatings based on PbO2 with the introduction of dispersed inorganic compounds (ZrO2, TiO2, RuO2, Co3O4, Al2O3 etc.) into the coating to improve its properties. New design features of the electrolyzers for the peroxodisulfuric acid production will be determined; effective methods of cooling the electrolyte and removing heat from the anodes will be studied since electrolysis is carried out at high current density values (5-10 kA/m2); basic technological parameters with the selected optimal anode material (current density, time, temperature, concentration of the initial electrolyte, type of membrane) will be investigated. The electrochemical method for producing hydrogen peroxide includes three main stages: electrolysis, distillation and rectification. Respectively, it is planned to provide the research of the hydrolysis reaction of peroxodisulfuric acid and establishment parameters of distillation. The study will aim at choosing the optimal values of the distillation parameters which will allow to get the maximum yield and the minimum degree of its decomposition. In addition, due to improving energy and resource efficiency of the electrochemical method for producing hydrogen peroxide it is proposed to study the return of sulfuric acid, which is formed as a result of hydrolysis of peroxodisulfuric acid to the first stage of electrolysis. This approach will significantly reduce the amount of sulfuric acid consumed in the industrial production of hydrogen peroxide, because sulfuric acid will recycle. Another important feature of the project is ensuring environmental security by using spent technological solutions of sulfuric acid (for example, spent pickling solutions of electroplating facilities) as a feedstock for electrolysis after pretreatment by the electroflotation sorption method.
