In recent decades, the creation of new materials based on siloxanes is an important andurgenttask. Due to their biocompatibility, thermal stability and high elasticity, they have becomeanexcellent basis for various copolymers, including polyurethanes, the inclusion of fragments of whichallowed to improve mechanical properties, while these materials have the ability to self-repair, aresuitable for 3D printing, and the ease of their modification allows to expand the rangeof theirapplication. The next step in the development of new methods for the synthesis of these compoundsistheuse of the azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction, which proceeds under mild conditions, rapidlyandquantitatively. The work of our colleagues previously demonstrated for the first time the possibilityof producing poly(urethane-siloxanes) as a material for 3D printing.1 In our work, we have investigated the influence of various parameters in carryingout theazide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction between PDMS with terminal azide groups anddiurethanemolecule with acetylene groups to obtain thermoplastic copolymers with optimal molecular weightcharacteristics.
