Functionalization of ether fragment is a challenging task for classical organic chemistry. Nowadays free-radical C–H activation has emerged as a useful tool in modern organic synthesis, thus the development of a convenient method for C–H activation of ethers may significantly expand the current set of synthetic approaches available for this class of compounds.
