The longitudinal component of magnetic permeability can be estimated by measuring hysteresis loops at different frequencies of remagnetisation by an external magnetic field. On the basis of analysing the results obtained by such a method, it is fundamentally possible to estimate the spatial inhomogeneity of the properties of a ferromagnetic sample in its cross-section. In the present work, possible approaches to the solution of the above problem are analysed.
