It was shown before that the properties of electrodeposited Pd on Au could be adjusted via electrodeposition potential [1,2], and there are some specific potential values at which electrodeposits with substantially different features could be obtained. However, no general correlations between electrodeposits charge-accumulating, electrocatalytic properties, and microstructural features vs deposition potential were observed. In this work, an effort was made to build microstructural models for electrodeposits quantifying particle size distributions, dislocations concentrations, stacking faults probabilities, orientation distribution functions coupled with morphology control, and to find correlation between observed features and deposition conditions.
