Abstract In the dynamic landscape of ESL education, the utilization of Stephen King's author voice as a pedagogical tool and renaissance of an old-fashioned fiction reading stands out as a game-changer for enhancing not only both language and professional skills but also cultural awareness in tech undergraduate settings. By conducting a comprehensive style analysis of King's texts, decoding language features and tropes, and exploring his distinctive syntax, valuable insights emerge on the efficacy of his literary techniques in facilitating language acquisition. In the modern education contexts, especially in a non-linguistic university incorporating fiction reading into existing in the syllabus EAP/ESP/EMI courses is a challenge in itself. To infuse it effectively into academic English and professional English courses meant meticulously designing a set of methodological support with both linguistic and EAP/ESP/EMI targeted set of exercises. This allowed us to collect data on motivation levels, American culture experience, language skills and overall interest in language learning in three academic groups where Stephen King fiction reading was implemented. This speech focuses on how through a detailed style analysis of King's novels, classification of language features and tropes, and examination of syntax, insights are gained into the effectiveness of his literary techniques for language acquisition. Additionally, the implementation of a fiction reading course based on King's language features demonstrated tangible improvements in students' language proficiency, creative self-expression, cultural contact and motivational patterns.
