The purpose of the paper is to identify the main trends in the senior tourism development in Russia. The study presented in the paper examines the key determinants that should be taken into account in senior tourism marketing, as well as the specifics of consumer behavior in the consumption of senior sport tourism on the Russian market. The results could provide understanding current sport travel motivations of Russian eniors.The main conclusion that can be drawn on the basis of desk research is that elderly population can certainly be considered to be a new target audience in the sports tourism sector.
