Nowadays, development of molecular electronic devices for photochromic materials, field effect transistors and photoactive switches, high efficiency solar cells, and optical chemosensors is a topical problem. In this connection, charge-transfer complexes based on organic compounds, in particular, bisazacrown-containing dienones, which combine chromophore and ionophore fragments in their structure, are of undoubted interest. In order to study the features of its’ complexation with Ca2+ cations, diammoniopropyl dipyridylethylene derivative tetraperchlorates and diperchlorates of alkanediammonium of various chain length, bis(aza-18-crown-6)-containing dienone of the cyclopentanone series 1 was synthesized.
