This paper continues my work on the role and image of the Fothaid triplets in the pseudohistory of Ireland and the Finn Cycle. In this presentation, I will deal with the story of Fothad Airgthech in the Mongán saga (Scél asa mberar combad hé Find mac Cumaill Mongáin) and in particular the portrayal of Fothad. Furthermore, I am going to analyse Caílte’s itinerary from Munster to Ollarba/Mongán’s residence as it is described in the story and the role of the Ollarba battle in the Finn tradition.
