Based on Lehrer, Vaschillo&Vaschillo protocol (2000, 2007) and Beauchamp et al (2012) approach we organized a pilot practically oriented study. The purposes of our work were to show whether resonant frequency breathing could increase shooting performance in athletes or not, to explore the changes in other physiological indicators (EEG, EMG, HRV, SC, finger temperature) after slow abdominal breathing. All athletes could learn to breathe at their resonant frequency rate. Breathing at one’s resonant frequency improved postural control according to the stabilometric parameters in a simple stabilographic test. Respiratory sinus arrhythmia biofeedback training could modify alpha brain activity: high alpha power was increased, low alpha power was decreased, IAPF was increased, and in general alpha frequency was shifted into higher range. Autonomic nervous system indicators and EMG were changed only during training, but not in post-training test comparing to pre-training test. For some subjects it’s much easier to start with RSA BFB training, before proceed to neurofeedback
